To be determined by the clinician or dietitian and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient. Use in conjunction with breast milk or infant formula or standard paediatric enteral feed or a mixed diet.

Preparation guidelines

  • For bottle fed infants: The standard dilution of 20% is made by adding 1 level scoop of Renastart (7g) to 30ml of water (approximately 1 fluid oz.). Follow the preparation guidelines carefully. Incorrect preparation can make your child ill. Any formula remaining in the bottle after 1 hour should be discarded. Do not reheat Renastart once feeding has started.
  • Other dilutions, tube-feeding and feeding older children: Preparation to be determined by the clinican or dietitian. Renastart is typically mixed with water as per clinicians/dietitians instructions. Any feed prepared in advance must be refrigerated and used within 24 hours.

 

 Important Feeding Information

- Do not heat Renastart in a microwave as uneven heating may occur and could cause scalding.

- Do not boil Renastart.

- Infants and young children should be supervised at all times when feeding.

- Regular teeth cleaning is recommended.

Unopened: Renastart should be stored in a cool, dry place.

Once opened: Use within 3 weeks. Always replace container lid after use.
